Today’s portals are rapidly becoming a central place for employees and partners to find information and conduct business transactions. With many process excellence initiatives striving to refine processes and reduce cycle time, it has become a challenge to keep employees in sync. To minimize cycle time and increase process compliance, organizations have opted to remind employees by sending out periodic emails. Maintaining distribution lists, scheduling changes resulting in email updates, and a need for role-based real time event information leave traditional email channels largely ineffective. With the Company Events component, companies can now use the portal as the primary channel to communicate key dates and continuously remind employees and partners of upcoming events.

To further enhance usability, employees can click on the event to navigate directly to related content or transactions if relevant. The Company Events component enables process excellence and real time information.

Events can now drive processes by allowing your portal users to see only their relevant events. Filtering through large volumes of emails or out of date appointments will no longer detract from productivity. Users can also use the event to navigate to the information or transaction, increasing usability and saving time.

Keeping attendees abreast of company events is simple with the Company Events component. Simply enter the event(s), the range for which it is active, assign the applicable attendee roles the event is planned.
